Greensboro College Women's
Tennis Team Finishes 11-5

The Pride women’s tennis team was 11-5 this year and 5-2 in USA South Athletic Conference dual matches. Eleven wins is the second most by a Pride team, while the five conference victories set a new GC mark.

The team started the Spring season with three straight victories, and closed dual match play with four straight wins. The netters also produced a program best four shutouts.

Carrie Pacifico, The Pride's number one singles player, played superbly. The freshman closed the year with a 15-3 mark at the toughest flight. She teamed with Elise Broverman to go an impressive 15-2 on the season at #1 doubles. Pacifico was a first team USAS honoree.

Kate Creasy was named to the USA South second team on the strength of her #2 doubles and #3 singles play. Creasy and Sara McGlynn became a dynamic tandem at the second doubles. They compiled a 15-3 season record and 6-1 conference mark—one of the best in school history.

Under new head coach and local pro Dave McCain, The Pride tennis teams will be led by a former NAIA national coach-of-the-year.
