The USA South Athletic Conference has announced its All-Conference awards for women's tennis.  

Greensboro College's Carrie Pacifico (Charleston, WV Charleston Catholic) and Kate Creasy (Mechanicsville, VA Atlee) were named to the team. Pacifico, a freshman, was picked to the conference first team. She is 14-2 at #1 singles and teams with Elise Broverman at #1 doubles. They have a 14-1 record.

Creasy, a senior, was selected to the USAS second team. She boasts a 13-2 mark with Sara McGlynn at #2 doubles, and an 11-5 record at #3 singles. The Pride, which finished 11-5 and 5-2 in the conference, play in the USAS Championships this weekend in Newport News, Va.

Methodist and Christopher Newport led the way with six and five members respectively on the team.  Averett's Kirsi Turunen has been named the Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year.  Methodist coach Kelly Callahan was named the 2005 Coach of the Year.  

Turunen, a freshman from Turku, Finland was an impressive 13-0 overall and 7-0 in conference at #1 singles.  At #1 doubles she was 8-2 overall and 5-2 in conference play.  She helped Averett to 4-9 overall record and 3-4 in the conference.

Callahan in her second year at the helm of the Monarchs has been tabbed the Coach of the Year for the second consecutive year.  She led the Monarchs to the regular season title with a record of 13-2 overall and 8-0 in conference action.
