The Theatre Program offers areas of intensive study leading to a BA or BS degree with emphasis in: Stage Design and Technical Theatre, Costuming, Acting, Stage Directing/Management and K-12 Theatre Education Licensure. Courses are integrated with production work, and participation is required on stage or back stage on all theatre productions. The College holds memberships or participates in The American College Theatre Festival and other national and state organizations and conferences, and students are required to participate, including auditioning and interviewing for summer apprenticeships and internships. All prospective theatre majors are required to audition or have a portfolio review and be interviewed by members of the department. Those who complete the program enter graduate school or a theatre conservatory, as well as seek careers within the profession.
