If a Fob is lost or stolen, it can be deleted from the system and a new Key Fob will be issued. Guests and visitors are required to be escorted in the building at all times.
Student Responsibility
The cooperation and involvement of students in a campus safety program are vital to its success. Students are encouraged to assume responsibility for their personal belongings by taking simple, common sense precautions. For example, although the campus is well-lighted, students (male or female) may feel more comfortable using the campus security escort service when returning to the residence halls late at night. Room doors should be locked at all times.Valuable items such as stereos, cameras, and televisions should be marked with engraving instruments - security can provide engraving equipment if needed. Bicycles should be secured with a sturdy lock. Students with cars must part in their assigned areas and keep their vehicles locked at all times. Valuables should be locked in the trunk. Students should report suspicious-looking individuals whom they feel do not belong in their residence halls or any unusual incidents in and around the residence halls to residence life or Campus Safety and Security.
Greensboro College students, faculty, and staff have access to academic, recreational, and administrative facilities on campus. Access to the residence halls, however, is limited to students and their guests. College employees have access to the residence halls on an "as-needed" basis. These staff members exercise strict key control procedures. The general public can attend cultural and recreational events on campus, with their access limited only to the facilities in which these events are held.
