Conditions include:

  • Successful completion of courses required for the degree and major outlined in the Academic Catalog
  • Minimum Grade Point Average of 2.0 in the major (and in the specific courses as outlined in the Catalog) and an overall average of 2.0 (undergraduate degree)

  • File an Intent to Graduate form as required by the Registrar’s Office
  • Notify the Registrar of any changes in major, or scheduled graduation date, as soon as possible
  • Order cap and gown before graduation when dates are specified

Diplomas are awarded three times a year: August, December, and May. I am expected to participate in the May commencement ceremony if at all possible. If I cannot participate in the May Commencement ceremony, I must submit a Petition for Exception to Academic Policy requesting permission to be excused. The Petition must be turned in at least one month prior to the May Comment ceremony. If I graduate in May, I will receive my diploma during the Spring Commencement activities. If I graduate in August or December, my diploma will be mailed to me.
